Obituary for Alisha M. Tuss

Alisha Michelle Tuss was born Sunday, October 18, 1981 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Shari and Kent Florence. Alisha gallantly and fearlessly fought Neuroblastoma for 15 years. She passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 surrounded by her family and the caring staff at Riverstone Hospice House.
Shari, Kent and Alisha moved to Colorado Springs the summer of 1988 when she was 6 years old. Alisha graduated from Air Academy High in 2000 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in 2003.
Alisha went to work for the Department of Justice in 2004 and moved to Billings in 2005 with the Denver Division of DEA.
Alisha was a collector: She had an extensive collection of Golden Girls and I love Lucy Memorabilia, and of course purses and shoes which we are so happy Sophie is sharing.
Alisha was just learning baseball as Ryder has started to play; this was a challenge being the (non) sports enthusiast she was.
She is survived by her husband Dustin Tuss, her children Sophia 12 and Ryder who is 9, parents, sister Cami Middleton and nephews Josh Florence, Brock and Drake Middleton, niece Tatum Middleton and Uncle Jerry Rhodes and Aunt Joan Squire and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Tad Florence and grandparents Bert and Everett Rhodes, Faun and Roy Florence and her Aunt Colleen, and Uncles Blain, Gary and Farrell Florence and her Uncle Tom Rhodes.
The family would like to thank all of you who traveled from out of town to honor Alisha, and we would like to especially thank Diane Jones for her unwavering and loving care of Alisha all these many years.
