Deborah Sundahl

Deborah Ann Sundahl, age 69, passed away peacefully on June 13th, 2023 at the Riverstone Hospice House in Billings, MT. Debi was born on New Year's Day, 1954 in St. Paul, MN. She was the first of seven children to Sonny and Shirley Willenbring.

Debi immersed herself in nature whenever she could. She was a dedicated herbalist who loved her loose-leaf teas. With a degree from the U of MN in women's studies, Debi focused her life's work on female sexuality. She started and ran a magazine in San Francisco with her life-long friend Nan Kinney during the 1980's after which Debi became an author and lecturer on female sexuality. Some of her work with Nan is preserved in the Cornell and UCLA libraries. Her lecturing allowed her to travel extensively throughout Europe.

Debi's last Subaru had 330,000 miles with a bumper sticker that read, "Practice Random Kindness & Senseless Acts of Beauty". Perhaps thousands saw that message of peace during her many cross-country trips.

Debi is preceded in death by her dear sister Nancy (4) and mother Shirley (89).

Debi is survived by her son Aaron Schultz (Jennifer Cooper Schultz) of Billings, MT, and her granddaughter Josie in addition to her father, Sonny, and siblings David, Douglas, Donald, Denise, and Dale. Matt Montgomery provided love, support, and caregiving when Debi needed these things most.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waconia, MN at 6:30 PM on July 23rd, with visitation beginning at 5:30 PM. The service will be live-streamed at www.stjosephwaconia.org/watch…
