Obituary
Michael James Simpson was born on August 20, 1958, in Billings, Montana to James Miles Simpson and Ruby Irene (Sun Goes Slow) Simpson. Michael was raised in Billings, Montana, graduating from Billings Senior High School, and he later obtained a 4-year college degree from MSU Billings.
Michael married Laura Jones on February 1, 1982, and they remained in Billings to raise their son James Michael Simpson.
Michael worked at the Bureau of Indian Affairs for 36 years. He worked in Tribal Government, Transportation, Real Estate Services, and Water Resources.
Michael enjoyed numerous hobbies, one of which was camping in the Pryor mountains with family, and hunting with his son, nephews, and brother. He enjoyed working on cars and loved Mopar.
He is preceded in death by his parents James M. Simpson and Ruby Simpson. Beaumont, Jones, Brockie, Whiteman, Stewart, and Bearcrane families.
He is survived by his wife; Laura Simpson, son; James Michael Simpson, sister; Colleen Simpson, brother; Pastor Jay Simpson (Marilyn), Special Nieces; Jacy Jones, Sara Cochran, Tiffany Nedens, Londa Simpson, and Lachelle Simpson, Special Nephews: Joel Simpson and Drew Tsosie, and Auntie/Mom; Angeline Whiteman.
There will be a visitation held at Dahl Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, June 20, from 10:00-6:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at Dahl Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, June 21, at 1:00 pm, with interment to follow at Terrace Gardens Cemetery.
