Deepest sympathies to you Zena, and the entire family. What a brilliant man and lawyer your father was! He showed what a noble profession it is to be an advocate for the rights and defense of others. "Now absent from the body, put present with the LORD..."
Love and eternal grace, Richard Rossi

Shortly after I met my wife Erica, I started to learn about who she was and what kind of family she had. Uncle Rob’s name came up often and never was there a story that didn’t spark my interest of who this guy was and how bad I wanted to meet him. I heard stories about how his dogs were treated sometimes better than his children and that he would go all out for the 4th of July, both of which I could relate to as a early 20’s kid. The time came that I finally got to meet Uncle Rob at the family’s property on Camano island. All of the stories I heard about the dogs, joking around, and that contagious laugh of his all came into reality that weekend. What I wasn’t prepared for was the way he interacted with me. Uncle Rob was one of the most intentional people I have ever met, always wanting to know how I was doing and what was going on in my life. He truly cared about everyone. As the years passed by it was always so good to interact with him. I will forever cherish the memories and thank God that I had the opportunity to know him. Rest easy Uncle Rob. Until we meet again🙏🏼

I was Rob’s law clerk from 1998-1999. To me, he was larger than life and a “force”. I learned a tremendous amount from Rob both as his clerk and thereafter when I would call seeking his sound advice. Not a day goes by that I am not thankful for something Rob taught me. He watched as my career developed and I can only hope I made him proud. He was truly a piece of the foundation for my education and practice. He is dearly missed.

Too many memories to share. They were all very special. Rob loved his kids and felt lucky to have his family. He was proud of all of them and talked to me about them all the time. I am so very sorry for your loss. I will deeply miss him.

We, the Raichles, Rob's German family, are deeply affected affected and very sad about Rob's death. I,Gert Raichle, stayed as an exchange student with the Stevens family in Edmonts 1961-1962 and attended together with Rob the Senior Class at Edmont"s Senior High. In both roles, as my eldest "American brother and as a con-student of Class '62, Rob stood always at my side and in his friendly and unobtrusive way helped me with word and deed whenever needed. For years now we have been exchanging letters regularly, his last letter dating from February this year. In them he also writes much about his family -his grief about the death of his son and his wife but also his relief about Riley's amazing well recovery. And he always writes about how much pride and happiness he feels about his daughters and his grandchildren who are all doing so extremely well. I'll never forget the absolute highlight of my 70th birthday when totally surprisingly for me Rob appeared as my special guest accompanied by Zena Dell and the pictures with which Zena Dell documented this event are now more valuable for me than ever.
Dear Stevens family on July 29th we are with you and Rob in our thoughts, sadly but also full of many wonderful memories.
