So very sorry for your loss. I worked with Fred at the Forest Service office in Billings. He was always so calm and helpful. The world lost a good man! Kim Kembel

Fred was a unique man, friend and colleague. We shared trips to the field, exploring, hiking, and conversing with each other on numerous subjects. He once told Mark Slacks and myself that he enjoyed our trips out of the office. He said, "I like going out with you two, because I can talk to you differently than other folks in the office!" Fred even told Michele that, as she mentioned that to me at Fred's retirement get together. I appreciated all our little chats sitting around his peanut jar! Blessings to you for eternal life and your wonderful family!

Fred was an amazing man. I am so lucky to have been able to work with him. So sorry for your loss.

Fred was my supervisor while I was with the Custer National Forest. He was probably one of the most fair, understanding of work life needs, and helpful supervisors I had while with the Forest Service. A great guy! He will be missed. Jack Conner
