Obituary

Elizabeth “Betty” Brown (Spear) died July 28th, 2023, in Billings MT.


Betty was born in Billings, MT on the 25th of February 1943, to Elizabeth “Tillie” and Peter Brown Sr.


Betty retired from Billings School District #2 after over twenty-five years of service as an Audiometric Technician. She was devoted to service to others and volunteered as a Sunday school teacher at Little Flower Catholic church. In retirement, Betty discovered a deep love for the outdoors and fishing and passed many hours in search of the next big catch.


Betty is preceded in death by her Father and Mother and five of her siblings as well as many friends and extended relatives.


Betty is survived by her sisters Patricia Brown and Barbara Brown O.P. as well as her children Archie Benner, Annette Freier, Antoinette Betty, Andrew Benner, and Aaron Benner as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held August 4th, 2023, at St. Ann Chapel within Holy Cross Catholic cemetery in Billings, MT at 10:00 am with inurnment following immediately after the service.


A celebration of Betty's life will be held at Riverfront Park, Pavilion #3, in Billings starting at 12:00 pm.

Betty is my 2nd mother not only is she my God mother she was very important person in my life growing up,she always made me feel like a member of her own family, I will deeply miss her ,I loved her very much and she will always be close to my heart. Travis Smith.

Oh how much u will b missed. I had such great pleasure in caring for Betty, we laughed ,read books, put together puzzles, painted Xmas ornaments, cooked together and shared many memories. Thank you for all the love and special times together. I'm so sorry for your families loss, you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
