Christopher Puskas

Christopher Charles Puskas went home to be with Jesus August 10, 2023, surrounded by his family, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 53 years old.

Chris was born to Charles and Celia Puskas in Hammond, Indiana on October 31, 1969. He was the second oldest of out 5 siblings. Chris moved to Denver, Colorado when he was 4. In his early years he attended Temple Baptist Academy, Mile High Baptist, then West Jeff Jr. High, and Platt Canyon Jr. High before moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 1984. Chris graduated from Lake Havasu High School in 1988. He worked for Pizza Hut and the Ramada Hotel. Later he became a framer for Fosters and worked multiple job sites in the Havasu summer heat. Chris had a natural God given talent and started working on cars as soon as he could drive. Chris' first car was a Chevy Monza that he crashed. Later he achieved his dream car of a 1972 Chevelle.

Chris moved back to Denver, Colorado in 1997 where he worked for Sante Fe Sand and Gravel before he landed his job at City of Englewood Water and Sanitation Department. In his free time, Chris volunteered at the Friends of Horses Ranch where he worked with horses. He was an excellent rider and enjoyed the daily tasks of caring for them. Horses were his hobby and he really enjoyed it. After several years Chris decided to move to Miles City, Montana to be closer to his family.

He started working at the tire and lube center at Walmart before he landed a mechanic job at Macs Frontier. He later went to work at Notbohm Motors before returning to Walmart as the Manager of the tire and lube center. Chris decided to move to Billings, Montana in 2021 after losing both his parents.

Chris was diagnosed with an exceedingly rare cancer in July of 2022 where the doctors gave him less than 3 months to live. Chris beat that statistic and God gave us another year with him and we spent his birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas together. Chris was incredibly smart. He had a talent for mechanics and could take apart any vehicle and put it back together. He was also the family go to when it came to fixing cars, buildings, framing, and plumbing. Chris loved country music and was an amazing western dancer. He could twirl any woman around anywhere, and they lined up to dance with him. He also enjoyed karaoke and stunned audiences with his voice. Chris had the best sense of humor. He was very sarcastic and always made you laugh. He was the life of the party and always goofing around. He also had a truly kind, loving side. He enjoyed writing poetry and sharing his thoughts and feelings. He was a good brother to have heart to heart talks with, he always told you the truth even if it hurt your feelings and he had no problem calling you out. He was the best gift buyer. He put so much thought and effort into buying gifts and always tried his best to make you feel loved and special. He had an amazing work ethic, was a good loyal friend, and although he never married, any woman would have been lucky to hold his hand. He is loved and deeply missed, and he impacted and changed many lives because he was good and genuine.

Chris was preceded into death by his parents Charles and Celia Puskas. Chris is survived by his siblings Carrie (David) Essman, Curtis Puskas, Chad (Tina) Puskas, Cassie (Randy) Parker, and Callie Fisher. His cousins Lisa (Keith) Carlson, Robin (Renee) Puskas, Mary Kay (Patrick White), Simon (Eileen) Helder, and his nieces and nephews Brandon, Amber, Dalton, Kinzley, Paizley, Noah, Gabriel, Michael, David, and several other cousins.
