Terry Ted Stensby Obituary
Terrence (Terry) Ted Stensby, beloved son of Theodore Norman and Margaret Ann Stensby, born April 21st, 1948, in New Rockford, North Dakota, was granted his angel wings on September 1st, 2023.
Terry will be eternally remembered by his wife Sarah Stensby of Billings, Montana as well as his children: sons Craig (Rebecca) Stensby and Dana (Janine) Stensby, and daughters Arica (Robert) Desrosier, Tamara (Joseph) McLaughlin and Li (Jun) Chen.
He also leaves behind 21 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 more great-grandchildren on the way, as well as his siblings: brothers Dennis (Cookie) Stensby and Rick (Lynette) Stensby, and sister Heidi (Maynard) Feist and many nieces and nephews.
Terry graduated from Moeller Barber College in 1971 and later became a master barber for 52 years, winning a multitude of awards for his talent. Terry believed his most notable achievement of his career was inventing the “blend cut”, and his slogan for his business, ‘Yer Father's Moustache' was: "Best Damn Barber". He enjoyed conversing and joking with all his customers, a majority of which quickly became lifelong friends. In his free time, Terry also enjoyed donating his talent to individuals in the community that were elderly and either homebound or in assisted living situations, or to those justice impacted.
Terry always brought a good time, and there truly is no one like him-- always the life of the party and enjoyed telling jokes. He loved to be traveling, gardening, body building, football, baseball, playing softball, hunting, fishing, camping, salsa dancing and driving his gold Trans Am.
Terry is welcomed into heaven by his relatives: parents Ted & Margaret Stensby, Baby Sister Stensby, Uncle Al, Aunt Myrtle, Grandpa & Grandma McFarland, Charles Millard, Aunt Mary, Aunt Katherine, Grandpa Ole and Grandma Anna Stensby as well many more beloved friends and family.
Additionally, our family would like to thank all the medical staff who helped Terry through his heart disease struggles.
Celebration of Life will be on September 6th, 2023, at 11:00 at Dahl Funeral Chapel, located at 10 Yellowstone Avenue, Billings, MT 59101.
Fellowship from 12 to 12:30 pm. Interment at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park to follow, located at 3605 Grand Ave, Billings, MT 59102.
