Jean Cromwell

Jean Emerson Cromwell went to be with the Lord on September 8 peacefully in her sleep at the age of 94.

Jean was born in Lewistown Montana June 2, 1929, to the parents of Charles and Mary Emerson.In 1931 her parents moved to Livingston Montana where she attended St. Mary's grade school and graduated from Park High School in 1948. She worked at Joyland Soda Fountain located in the Rexall drug store. She became a Bell phone teller operator a couple of years later. (A one a ringey dingey)

Following two years later she was swept off her feet by Jack (Edward) Cromwell and they wed on August 19, 1950. She was a mother of four, a housewife, and a member of the Catholic daughters while residing in Livingston. In 1969 her family then moved to Billings Montana and settled down there.

Her favorite daily pastime was to drink her morning coffee and read the Billings Gazette. Her hobbies and interests included welcoming new arrivals to Billings with the welcome wagon committee, playing bunco, decorating her home for every holiday, being a member of the Saint Pius X Catholic Church, and traveling, which took her to places such as Florida, Hawaii, and Canada.

She was loved by her friends, family, and anyone she met along the way.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary Emerson, sister June Kruger, husband Jack Cromwell, and granddaughter Patricia Herrick.

Jean is survived by her children David (Beth) Cromwell, Connie (Paul) Raynock, Douglas (Echo) Cromwell, and Dean Cromwell. Her Stepdaughter Shirley Heck and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
