Obituary
The lord called our beloved Brookes Rowland home Sept 11. 2023, peacefully with her father and sister by her side. Brookes was born to Claude and Kelly Rowland. She was a daddies girl to the fullest, and talked about the impact he had on her life. Brookes helped raise her two sisters, Angelita, and Beatrice Rowland. She took pride in raising them. She was a loving, caring mother to three beautiful children. Her son, Oscar Rowland, and her two daughters, Aubrey Rowland and victory Johnson. She showed them the most love and wanted the best for her children.
Brookes grew up in Lame Deer, but spent most of her years in Billings, MT. She went to Skyview high school. Furthering her education where she obtained her Hi-set from Chief Dull Knife College then pursued college. She went to Rocky Mountain College , MSUB. She later graduated with a Bachelors of Social Work at Salish Kootenai College. Brookes was a compassionate person, and loved kids. She had a goal to work with children. As well as women who experienced Domestic Violence. Brookes had an entrepreneurial mindset that led her to get an LLC. Also, she is a direct descendent of Alice Harris Kinzel.
She enjoyed listening to music, going out with friends and family. Brooke was a person you could call when you needed some support, and advice. She loved to write poetry and would draw. Brooke finished books within a day, and would share her books with others.
During her last final in college, Brookes turned in her paper ending with this quote, “God has a plan for you, and all you have to do is believe” -Brookes Rowland
She comes from the families of Locher, Limberhand, Kinzel, Harris, Wolftooth, Spang, Rowland, Whiteman and Horn. She is also a direct descendant of Limberbones who fought in LBH battle

Aunts: Michelle Limberhand, Realanda Rowland, Carmie Williams, Kim Whiteman, Joni Whiteman, Hannah Russell, Angela and Shanna Red Cherries. Cousins: Romeo Rowland, Leo Gary Not Afraid, Caleb Redneck, Micheal Bowers, and Christopher Kaufman.
She leaves behind her significant other Tavion J. she is survived by her children: Oscar Rowland, Aubrey Rowland & Victory Johnson. Her parents: Claude and Kelly. Her sisters: Kylie Rowland, Angelita Rowland & Beatrice Rowland. Grandfathers: James Rowland, Frank Rowland Grandfathers Dennis & Maynard Limberhand. Great grandfather, Oscar Kinzel. Grandmothers: Lynda Locher, Rynalea Whiteman-pena, Josephine Sandcrane, Doris Limberhand, Rosalie Tall Bull, Ardena Whiteman, Charlotte Whiteman & Annabelle Rowland. Nephew: Realand Whiteman. Niece: Gabriella Rowland. Special Aunts: Regina Rowland Red Neck, RoGene Whiteman, Aunts: Bobbi Limberhand, Megan Lonefight, Monica Rowland, Heather Rowland, Claudia Kaufman. The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the St. Vincent's ICU Staff, family and friends who prayed for Brooke's and visited her while in the hospital. Apologies if we have forgotten anyone in this time of grieving.
Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m on Friday September 15, 2023 at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Billings, Montana. A Traditional Wake will follow 9 p.m. at Ted and Lorena Rowland's Residence, Birney Divide 10 miles South of Lame Deer on Rowland Lane. The Funeral Service will begin there at 11 am on Saturday September 16, 2023.
