Ricky Davis

Ricky Lee Davis, 67, passed away on September 21, 2023, in Billings, MT. Rick was born to John Davis Jr. and Donna Kinney (Dobvenbarger) on January 29, 1956.

Rick was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing and being outside. His greatest hobby was his black powder rifles. He loved his small garden, and his flowerpots were his pride and joy. He loved his trips back to Nebraska each Fourth of July. He was like a kid in a candy store when buying fireworks.

He couldn't wait for retirement, as he was excited to be able to spend more time with his grandkids. Although he only got 15 months of retirement, he enjoyed every minute of it with his family, doing what he loved.

Watching sports was by far his favorite thing to do. He was a Husker fan through and through. Although college football was his favorite, he was a huge Aaron Rodgers fan, so he began to follow the Green Bay Packers and cheer on Rodgers.

Rick loved spending time at the ball fields, cheering on his grandkids. His grandkids were his world. Attending their sporting events became his life. He was full of life, with a big heart. He was always helping those around him up until the day of his passing.

He left a huge imprint in his 67 years with us. He will forever be missed.

Rick is survived by his sister, Roberta Grady of Beatrice, NE; Stepmom, Karlene Davis of Lincoln, NE; sons, Heath Davis of Walton, KY, Jerrod (Dawn) Davis of Lincoln, NE; daughter, Ashley (Adam) Erekson of Billings MT; his grandsons, Garrett and Tyson (Heath); grandson, Hayden; granddaughters, Hailey and Hannah (Jerrod); grandsons, Braxtyn, Beckytt and Braezyn (Ashley); great-granddaughter, Kynlee (Hailey), great-grandson, JB (Hannah).

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Davis Jr. and Donna Kinney; and his brothers, Terrance Davis and Darwin Davis.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
