Obituary
Ronson James LaRoque (RJ), a son, husband, brother, nephew, cousin, and grandson, went to be with the Lord on October 3rd, 2023.
Ronson was born to the Late Judalon Round Face and Don LaRoque of Wolf Point, MT at the Hospital in Crow Agency, MT. During his early years, the family lived in Billings, Wolf Point, and Glasgow, MT.
After his parents separated, Ronson, his siblings, and his mother moved to Pryor, MT where he grew up.
He was baptized at St. Charles, with godparents Mr. and Mrs. Old Elk. He attended Pryor Head Start, St. Charles Mission, and Plenty Coups. H.S. Throughout his education, he was elected Chief of the grade numerous times. One of his greatest accomplishments was being on the National, awarded FFA Team, traveling to Washington DC.
When his mother died, he and Elsie Faith Wounded Face adopted each other as mother and son.
Ronson loved traditional dance, Crow Style. Traveling around the region to Powwows. As a jack of all trades, he was a cook, carpenter, horseman, firefighter, and all-around general laborer. His sister remembers when he was a waiter, cook, and cashier. With his easy-going personality, he got along with most people.
Late Sprint 2023, Ronson was diagnosed with Lymphoma. He put up a courageous fight. He succumbed to the illness.
Ronson is survived by his wife, Latoya, his stepchildren, Allyn, Angel, Katherine, and Ronald, Jr. Adopted mother, Elsie Faith Wounded Face. His Father Don LaRoque, his in-laws, and relatives on the Ft. Peck IR. Brothers, Tymatt, Setu, Marcus, Cullen, and Gary Hugs, Jr., Sisters, Joanna, Annie, Shawna, Martika, Ashley, Nicole, and Paradise, Tiona. Uncles, Ace, Pat & Flain, BH, Tom Nagel, Howard, Justin, Daniel, Cletus and Johnnie RF. CCC and Raymon Richardson, Max, Luke, Taten, and Melton, SB.
Aunts, Monica Henry, Dorothy, Berta and Great RF, Jolene, Valeen, Carol, Veronica, Georgia, Delia, Kim, Island Emma.
Preceded in death by Mother Judalon, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Round Face. Great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward RF, Theodore Spotted Bear, and Emma Snells. Brothers Quinten, Khan, Howard Jr. Levi Beaumont. Uncles Wilber, Bruce, Ethan, and Martin Sr. Aunts Marva, Carrie, Geneva, Deana, and Katherine.
