Obituary
On October 29, 2023, the matriarch of our family Virjama Lois Iron Plain Bull, 66, went home to be with our Lord and Savior.
She was born on October 27, 1957, to Frank and Winona Faye Walking Bear-Iron in Crow Agency. Virjama attended school in Lodge Grass, Hardin High School and Graduated from Plenty Coup High School in Pryor Montana. She is a member of the Sore Lip clan and is a child of Ties the Bundle.
Virjama married Gerry Plain Bull in 1975 and together they raised 5 sons. Virjama and her husband also raised their grandchildren Miya Rae, Cody and Draysen and loved them dearly.
Virjama was employed with Saint Charles Mission School for 28 years as an instructional Aide. Due to her great penmanship and artistic skills, she was a great asset to her coworkers and the school. She was able to be with her first grandson Caleb as he began school at Saint Charles. Most of her free time was spent taking care of her 10 grandchildren.
Virjama also had a green thumb like her father Frank; she often liked to garden.
She later volunteered to cook for Senior Citizen in Pryor where they hired her because of her excellent cooking.The community enjoyed her cooking because she was a great cook and knew what all the elderly loved.
Survivors include her husband, Gerry Plain Bull, sons Darin (Annie), Elias (Nema), Frederick and Leo. Her Brother-in-law Jerry Allen Plain Bull. Grandchildren, Caleb, Donovan, Jessie, Miya Rae, Ali, Cody, Draysen, Abbey, Lily and Elianna. Special nephews she also helped raise Jasper and Buster Plain Bull. Her sisters, Alice and Suzanne Iron and aunt Delma Jean Howe Fox. She had 37 nieces and nephews.
Her friends Cheryl Old Elk White Clay, Colleen Denise Jefferson Nomee, Debbie Pretty Paint, Darla Three Irons Horn, Abigail Medicine Horse-Goes Ahead and Jennifer Birdinground-Flat Lip.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father Frank & Winona Faye Iron, mother and Father-in-law; Cyril and Arvilla Plain Bull, her son Michael Cody, sisters Miriam and Gail Iron and Lenora Pretty Weasel. Sister in laws, Terry Jean and Mary Rose Plain Bull. Brothers, Leland Walking Bear, Larry and Leonard Lamont Pretty Weasel Jr. Frank Jr and Michael Iron. Brother-in-law, Larry Boy Plain Bull.
Extended families include, Iron, Brass, Otter Stays in the Water, Walking Bear, Yellowmule, Star, Howe, Williamson, Bear Ground, Spotted Horse and Dust.
