Keith Nelson

Keith Alan Nelson, 84, of Broadview, passed away on December 17, 2023.

Keith was the youngest son born to Harold and Alice Nelson on August 17, 1939. Keith graduated from Broadview High School in 1957 and was married to Kay Conover (also from Broadview) in 1960. They resided in Alberton, MT, where Keith was employed by Hoerner Waldorf. While working there, he earned his electrician's license. Keith and Kay had 2 children, Kevin and Kim.

In 1976, the family moved back to Broadview to take over the family farm. Keith was proud of being a wheat farmer and was able to retire doing what he loved.

He faithfully attended Broadview Evangelical Church, and later the Broadview Senior Center, where he enjoyed the weekly pinochle games. He looked forward to garage sale “season” and lunch with friends after searching for bargains. He was also known to be a good hunting guide-he loved the guiding more than the hunting.

Keith was preceded in death by his wife, Kay, his brother, Wayne, and sister, Janice. He is survived by his son, Kevin & Brenda Nelson, daughter, Kim & Jeff Craig, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild (and a 2nd one on the way).

Services will be held at Dahl Funeral Chapel on Saturday, December 23rd at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, December 26th at 10:00 a.m. The family requests memorials be made to Broadview Evangelical Church or the Broadview Senior Citizens.
