Delores Koerber

Delores Marie Koerber was born to Ben and Dorothy Kanning on August 15, 1942 in Scobey Montana. She was raised in Flaxville and graduated from Flaxville High School in 1960. She relocated to Billings and attended Billings Business College.

In the spring of 1963 she began working at Billings Hardware. It was here she met Thomas Koerber. They were married March 3, 1964. Four children were born of this union. Delores spent the next 20 years devoting herself to being a housewife and mother. After her children were grown, she worked 26 years as a bookkeeper for United Glass, after which she retired at the age of 75. Delores loved spending time visiting with family and friends. She especially looked forward to frequent calls from her children to whom she gave cooking advice and loving support. She was a good listener. Delores loved playing cards, crocheting, chocolate chip cookies and game shows. Especially Wheel of Fortune.

Delores is survived by her brother RG Kanning; 4 daughters, Diane (Jim) Brawley, Janet (Tom) Tesoriero, Sharon ( William) Jenkins and Rhonda ( Ryan) Eash; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Delores is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Thomas Koerber; 2 sisters, Bernice Veis and Loretta Stroh; 2 brothers Richard Kanning and Dean Kanning.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 4th at 11 AM at Dahl Funeral Chapel, 10 Yellowstone Avenue in Billings Montana.

There will be a viewing before the service beginning at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
