Shawn Michael Kapor, of Bridger, Montana, passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2024, in Billings, Montana, at the age of 62. Shawn was born November 14, 1961, in Billings, Montana, to Ronald and Donna Kapor (Kidwell). He was raised in Bridger, Montana with his two brothers Darren and Chris Kapor. He graduated from Bridger High School, participated in band, and was a track star holding a record to this day for the 400-yard relay.
Shawn had many interests ranging from Star Trek to The Green Bay Packers to The Beatles (those being his favorite). Shawn had many friends and was always up for a good game of poker or pinochle. Some of his favorite things to do during the summer were to go camping at the local campgrounds, rafting the Clark's Fork River, and driving the Beartooth Mountain Pass.
Shawn had many talents and worked in many different occupations. He helped his dad build up the local Kapor Lumber business into what it is today, then went on to find his own way. He started many different endeavors with his most recent being his car rental business which was starting to be successful.
Shawn married Marcia Kapor in 1983. Out of this union were born Bryan Scott and Trystin Nichelle Kapor. They later divorced and Shawn went on to have a daughter, Emily Paige Synoground with his partner Victoria Synoground, and Stephanie Kay Davidson with his partner Angie Davidson. His kids loved spending time with their dad and especially looked forward to the camping and rafting trips.
Shawn is survived by his children, Bryan Kapor, Trystin (Tom) Alsteen, Emily Synoground, and Stephanie Davidson, his father Ron Kapor, his brothers Darren Kapor and Christopher Kapor, grandchildren Adrian Alsteen and Alayna Kapor, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Shawn is preceded in death by his mother, Donna Gail Kapor (Kidwell), grandparents Mike and Sigrid Kapor and Don and Vernell Kidwell, as well as his aunt Penny Kidwell (Parker).
