Charlotte Caldwell

Charlotte Anne Caldwell passed peacefully on Demeber 20, 2104 At St. John's Lutheran Home. She was born on May 8, 1969 to Ronald and Geraldine (Cellmer) Pennell in Culbertson, MT, the youngest of 3 girls. Charlotte went to Ruffatto Grade School, and attended Culbertson School. Charlotte married Danny Caldwell December 28, 1985 in Culbertson, MT. They made thier home south of the Missouri River next to Danny's parents, Vernon and Laura Caldwell. Charlotte became an avid outdoors woman. Many a time Charlotte would catch the bigger fish or get the bigger deer or elk. She was also able to "call" for deer or elk by just using her own voice. Gardening with Grandpa Maynard, Mom and Laura kept Charlotte busy when she wasn't hunting, fishing or camping with family and friends Charlotte worked as a CNA at the Roosevelt Medical Center from 1987 to the end of 2010. Many were touched with her gentle hands and caring ways. Charlotte was a big animal lover. Sheba the german shephard, Charlie a Heinz 57 mix and Lala the cat were her faithful companions, and her "kids". Charlotte was a member of the American Legion Auxillary for 19 years. She ejoyed spending time with her friends at the Montana Bar, playing darts. Diagnosed with Frontal Temporal Dementia in January of 2012, Charlotte moved into St John's in January of 2013. There were times she would help push people in their wheelchairs to the dining room for meals, or hold a person's hand while walking down the hall. Thank you to all the staff who made Charlotte feel at home. Charlotte is survived by her loving husband, Danny; parents Ronald and Geraldine Pennell; sisters Janet (Robert) Royan and Brenda (Fran) Kostelecky; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A celebration of her life will be held May 23, 2015 at 11 AM in Culbertson, MT at the Town Hall. Lunch will follow.
