One of the best teachers I ever had. He asked me to give up my study hall and tutor my fellow students in his math class. I was terrified it pushed me into teaching, though I taught college for 25 years. Dean was a wonderful man. He will be missed.

Such a fine tribute to a remarkable man...one whose exuberance and joy were evident. Love and hugs to family and friends. I have fond memories of our math and life moments. Ruth Rollins Brocklebank

We are so sad to hear of Dean's passing. My sister and I were planning a trip in June to visit our cousin Dean. Wish we had gone sooner. I loved my oldest cousin Dean and even had a crush on him when I was a little girl! He was always so kind and I looked up to him in so many ways. He will be so missed by his family and friends. Truly one i n a million .

Dean taught not just his students, but all he came in contact with - about how to treat others with kindness and respect. My condolences to the entire family on your loss.

Dean was a good guy I remember trips with Dean and Rodney along with a few others to cook City on several snowmobile excursions. Local fishing trips and one as far away as Helena. Sometimes I would get a call from Dean asking if I wanted to go scouting. When we went scouting we were looking for fishing access sites but mostly it was just to get out of town. Lots of conversation, laughs, mixed with a little storytelling. I will truly miss Dean.
