Keith Biehl

Keith Emery Biehl, age 38, passed away suddenly on November 7, 2023, in Cheyenne, WY. He was born August 14, 1985, in Ashtabula, Ohio and was the youngest of 5 Children. He attended school at Independent, Castle Rock, Skyview. He was active in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and soccer.

Keith enjoyed the many trips and visits with Aunts, Uncles and cousins, he particularly enjoyed his connection with his uncle Dave, as they both shared a love of history and strategic board games. He liked the visits to historic sites and museums that Ken instigated on many trips.

Keith enlisted in the Montana Army National Guard in 2003 at age 17. That summer he attended and graduated Basic Training in Fort Benning, Georgia. He returned home and completed his senior year of High School, graduating in 2004. That summer he completed more Army National Guard training.

In the fall of 2004 he married Patricia Peterson, a few days before shipping out for his first tour in Iraq with the 163rd. He and Patricia have one son, Allex. They divorced after his 2nd tour in Iraq.

Keith was employed at Grand Lumber and enjoyed the comradery of his fellow employees.

Keith continued with the Montana Army National Guard career, recently transferring to recruiting. In February of 2023 he had served 20 years with the National Guard and chose to retire from military duty.

In 2013 Keith met Kasey Thayer, they have 2 sons, Athen and Tristen. Family meant everything to Keith, and he happily and conscientiously provided and cared for them, including Jasmine and Brenden who he cared for as his own.

Keith and Kasey moved their family from Billings to Cheyenne in 2014, when he was hired at Mathena. Which was the same company that his brother Russell worked for. They shared living space for a time, and they often conferred with each other over equipment and issues on the job.

Keith and his brother Gary shared a love of hunting and shooting and spent many hunting seasons at their uncle's hunting together.

Keith always had a love of fish aquariums. He had freshwater aquariums as a child. Upon his return from his 2nd tour in Iraq, he started with saltwater aquariums, which he loved. At times he had several aquariums going, growing and selling coral, etc. Tending the aquatic habitats was calming to him.

Keith enjoyed motorcycles and the wind therapy that comes with them.

Keith is survived by his sons, Allex, Athen and Tristen; companion, Kasey Thayer; stepchildren Jasmine, Brenden; Parents Debra and Kenneth Cellmer; Siblings Wendy (Larry) Sheid, Melanie Taylor, Russell (Linda) Biehl, and Gary Taylor; stepsister Geraldine (Troy) Calhoun. He is also survived by his nieces Hannah, Taylor, Evelyn, Morgan, and Madison; Aunts Eva and Arline, Uncle Bernis, and numerous cousins and step aunts, uncles.

He is preceded by his grandparents, Burrl and Julia Taylor; Uncles, Elmer, Rolen and Glen Taylor; and stepsister Stephanie Ness

While we mourn the loss of a loved one taken too soon from this world, let us celebrate the life of Keith E. Biehl. Rest in peace, Keith. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
