I met Chuck when I was invited to join a group that had coffee periodically. The group consisted Chuck, Bob and Bran Pond, Dick Reese, and later Sandy Helmuth, sometimes joined by Orty Bourquin and “Kuba”. We solved all the world’s problems in a couple of hours with a lot of Chuck’s input. Their stories and experiences were always a memorable treat. Chuck definitely lived a full life!

I always remember the happy times I spent with Uncle Chuck and his family. Summers spent at a Gibson Landing or the Easter and Thanksgiving holidays. RIP

It seems like yesterday that I worked with your Dad in the Purchasing Department. Fran, Perky, Linda, Diane, and the Buyers, Joe, Dick, Ian, Pete, and your Dad! Chuck had the front office of Main Plant and I was so fortunate to have my desk further back; however, I could look straight the window to Denison Parkway…It was unbelievable!
It was a small office and you could hear everything per sae… Your Dad was very tall and his stature “ meant “serious!”
If we girls said something funny, started laughing, or went to another’s desk to talk; your Dad would get up and walk out of the office or ask for something to “make us get back to work!” …and he meant business!
We all had a lot of fun looking back and it was a phenomenal time in my lifetime.
Your Dad was a kind, serious, and hard worker!
I LOVED the obituary you wrote. It was a loving tribute to a knowledgeable man.
I’m very sorry for your loss and to also hear of your mother’s suffering & struggles the last years of her life.
Thank you for sharing and God Bless your Family.
