Obituary
Karen Lynn (Isaacson) Hamilton joined her beloved daughter Erica in Heaven on June 13, 2024. She was born in Butte, MT. to Bert A. and Elenora Isaacson on October 26, 1947. Karen married the love of her life, Jim, on July 23, 1966. They would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this year. They enjoyed many wonderful trips and vacations over the years.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Sonia Clark of Billings, her great niece Willa Clark of Hanover, New Hampshire, her niece Janet Glennon of Billings, and her daughter Erica Lynn Halvorsen of Forney, Texas. Erica was born with spina bifida leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. From the day she was born, Karen dedicated her life to Erica's upbringing. Because of this dedication, Erica gained the confidence to do things in her life that nobody expected she would or could do. Karen was so thrilled to welcome her loving Grandson, Andrew Halvorsen into the world on August of 1999. He was the light of her life and he adored her also.
Karen had a competitive spirit and did not like to lose. She was an avid tennis player in her younger adult life and a golfer later on in her life. She was a dedicated volunteer in the communities where she lived and was always active in her church. The holidays were always her favorite time of year, especially Christmas, as she loved to decorate. She loved to sing and was always a member of the church choir. She sang in two special choirs in Texas, the Heartlites and the Bentwater City Limits.
Jim takes great comfort in knowing that Karen passed away peacefully in her sleep, just like she would have wanted to.
There will be a celebration of life service for Karen on June 28th at 10:00 A.M. at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd at 1108 24th Street West in Billings, MT.
