We square danced with Jim many times in Columbus and Billings until his health started failing him We always enjoyed his company and had lively conversations. He will be missed.

Jim was one of the most wonderful people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I first met him when I was working at St John's as a therapist and our friendship just grew from there. I learned so much history of this area from him. He always had a kind word, would always ask about how my day was going or if I had been on a motorcycle ride out his way, and every time I was around him I felt like we had known each other for eons. My thoughts and prayers are with his family now. I had the pleasure to meet all 3 of his children and heard so many stories about the family he more than cherished. Rest in peace, Jim - I am so glad I got to know you!!

I first met Jim Bermes in Columbus about 2002 when he joined our square dance group. It took a mighty storm to prevent him from driving from Molt to weekly dances. He was always jovial. It didn’t take long to understand Jim was very close to his family, some of whom also drove a distance. He appreciated summer trips with the grandkids when they were old enough to be away from their parents. May Jim’s family be consoled by loving memories. Robert Hajek
