Kathrine Moler

With broken hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Kathrine Ann Moler, (Kathy) (75) of Fishtail, Montana. After spending a beautiful day in all the arms of her

family, she left the world peacefully on July 6th surrounded by her loved ones. On December 17, 1948, a beautiful light was born into this world to Perry H. and Kathrine E. Moler. She is a cherished sister of nine siblings, a devoted Mother, a nurturing Grandmother, warm Cousin, delightful Aunt, and amazing friend.

Kathrine was born in Billings where she then spent her younger years around the Rapelje and Columbus areas. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1967 as undoubtedly the most beautiful girl in her school. She worked as a flight attendant, stockbroker, entrepreneur, and simply lived life on her own terms. Kathrine made the decision to further her education and attended college at Rocky Mountain in Billings. While attending she brought her son into the world and soon after graduated with a Master's in Business Administration. After college, she accepted a job where Kathrine and her son moved to Wyoming, there she worked as a CFO for RENEW Rehabilitations for many years. As she had always loved her Montana roots, she moved back to Billings and accepted a job working at Billings OBGYN. Kathrine then married, establishing their home in Fishtail, Mt. She was a hard worker who always put extra effort into her work and home life. After peacefully parting ways with her partner, Kathrine retained a portion of her property in Fishtail. She loved the peace it brought her so much she moved there to retire.

Kathrine had many talents, passions, and interests. A fraction of those includes a love for traveling, her master sewing skills, photography, arts and crafts or “a good little project” as she would say. She had a love for poker and created a legacy for clearing the chips at any table she would sit down at. Kathrine was a welcoming host on any occasion that got her friends and family together. Her life was surrounded by loyal and loving dogs that brought her endless joy and comfort. Kathrine was a member to clubs that empowered woman such as ‘Sisters on the Fly' and the ‘Red Hat Society.' She treasured the Fishtail Family Fun Day Parades, and for 17 years she orchestrated themes, costumes, and decorations for multiple trophy winning floats. She also had a deep connection to her spirituality in her Buddhist practice, her commitment to mindfulness inspired her life and created a lasting gift of peace and kindness.

Kathrine has been a mother to many in her life, she was the embodiment of love and light, her wisdom and generosity were endless. She took time to connect with nature and found beauty in every little thing. Kathrine was a mentor who inspired, she shared her insight and rationality with patience and kindness. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her Grandchildren, she always was available for them, always listened attentively, offered empathy, and gave comfort. She would substitute teach only at her grandkids' schools just to spend time with them. Kathrine was more than a one-of-a-kind woman. She was a true light and amazing being. We are devastated to have lost her but proud to have been able to experience her extraordinary life.

Kathrine leaves behind her only surviving son, Clayton Moler, and his wife Amber. Her endearing grandchildren Arica and Rogan Moler, Tymber, Wyatt, and Hunter. Kathrine is also survived by her four surviving siblings; Perry Moler Jr, Pearla Moler, Anthony Moler, and Quintina Moler-Will. Along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and countless friends. Kathrine is preceded in death by her parents Perry H. and Kathrine E. Moler, her brothers Trigve Moler and Micheal Dean Moler, her sisters Wynona Moler-Brazer, Rosemary Moler-Hastings, and Grace Moler-Schwartz.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held for Kathrine on August 3rd, 2024.

The location of services will be at The Red Door Lounge 3875 Grand Ave, Billings Mt. at

2 pm. In honor of Kathrines light, we encourage wearing bright and beautiful colors. Please feel free to bring any pictures and share all the memories that you have.
