Hildegarde (Hilda) Catherine Frank Huck, born on October 31, 1936, in Sheffield, North Dakota, peacefully passed away on July 12, 2024, in Billings, Montana. She was the loving wife of James Ralph Huck, whom she married on June 20, 1955, in Gaylord, North Dakota.
Together, they were blessed with 12 children: Ardan (Renee), Jeffrey (Stacey), Clayton (Kathy), Gerard (Bonnie), Geralyn Hill (Jason), Susan Majerus (Bob), Scott (Anna), Mary Meron (Rick), Jeremy (Brenda), Dale (Katie), Kelly Zarbock (Brian), and Rebecca Taylor (Paul).
Hilda's legacy extended to 30 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply. Her passions included baking, knitting, crocheting, playing pinochle and Bunco and gardening, bringing warmth and creativity to those around her. Her baked buns were legendary and her needle crafts a work of art.
Hilda's sense of humor and lively spirit were appreciated by those around her. She was loved and passed her love on freely. She will be deeply missed by those who were blessed to call her friends or family.
She is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband James, son Rodney James, parents Sebastian and Agatha, sisters Rita and Martha, brothers Jack and Vic and great-grand daughter Cloee Olivia.
Hildegarde leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured. She is survived by her brother Bede and sisters Delores, Gladys and Millie.

A vigil will be held at Dahl Funeral Chapel 10 Yellowstone Avenue, Billings, MT on Wednesday July 17, 2024, at 6 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Pius Catholic Church on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 10 am. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery will take place immediately following the service.
