Miguel Garza

Miguel Lawrence Garza earned his wings on July 4, 2024. He was born on September 5, 1988, in Billings, MT to Albert Garza Sr. and Lori White Wolf. He was a victim of gun violence in Twin Falls, ID.

Miguel attended Orchard Elementary and Broadwater School in Billings, MT. He finished his middle school education in Idaho Falls, ID where he also went on to receive his GED. Miguel spent his childhood summers and winters fishing and hunting near Hysham, MT with his dad, brothers and nephews. He recently added kayaking to his love for the outdoors.

Although life presented Miguel with many challenges, he never gave up on the man that he wanted to be. His family is so proud of him for that. He was an amazing person with a heart full of love for anyone who was lucky enough to know him.

At the time of Miguel's passing, he worked as a laborer for a local Twin Falls construction company.

He is preceded in death by his father Albert Garza Sr., his grandparents Agripina and Adolpho Garza, grandfather James Slevira, Sister Amanda Garza, Uncles Harold, Pete, and Frank Garza, Aunt Patricia Mascarena, and cousin Jordan Mascarena.

He is survived by his daughter Harleigh Young of Twin Falls, ID, mother Lori White Wolf of Portland, OR Grandmother Mary Belmarez of Tacoma, WA, grandfather Lorn Welch of Billings, MT. Brothers; Albert (Sherrie), James (Joi), and Geronimo Garza of Billings, MT, Steven Garza of Torrence, CA, Matthew and Nathanial. Sisters Christine Garza of Billings, MT, and Destiny Marin of Portland, OR. Miguel is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends who were like family including Cassie Campagna, Angelo White Wolf, Joseph Avilez (Paula & Zyanaya), Kole Carpenter and Rafael Soto.

Memorial services will be held on Friday July 26, 2024, 11a.m. at Dahl Funeral Chapel, Billings, MT with reception to follow at the American Legion, 1540 Broadwater Ave in Billings, MT.
