Obituary
Kit Jay Moldenhauer was born on August 26, 1981 to Todd and Wanda Moldenhauer. Three years later, Jesse joined the family. Kit was born in Helena, Montana and lived in the Townsend area until 2004 when he joined the Navy. In 1997, Kit met the love of his life, Katie Jo Karp. From this love story, four beautiful children were born, Chasidy (19), Rylan (17), Rafe (10), and Everly (7). Kit's children, wife, and The Lord were the most important things in his life.
During Kit's time in the Navy, he was stationed in SC, WA, NY along with many deployments as he was a Nuclear Machinist on submarines. The Navy afforded Kit and his family many opportunities and the knowledge that Montana was their true home. In 2014, Kit was honorably discharged and able to provide his family with a beautiful homestead in Belfry, MT where he resided until his tragic death on July 30, 2024.
Kit was the kindest and most loving man. He did all things with a full heart.
Kit is survived by his one true love, Katie Jo, his children, parents, brother, grandmothers, in-laws, nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandfathers as well as Grandma and Grandpa Dahlgrin.
Kit was greeted at the gates of heaven by Our Heavenly Father and his childhood horse, Snappy.

Services will be held at the Gebo Cemetery in Fromberg, MT on Saturday August 3, 2024 at 2:22PM. Cremation has taken pace and the family will do a private interment at a later date. Kit's children and Katie are asking that everyone please wear blue as it was Kit's favorite color.
