Hazel Bertelsen

Hazel LaMae Bertelsen was born at 1:25 am on August 6, 2024, in Billings, MT, to parents Chase Bertelsen and Madison Lervick, weighing 8 pounds and 1.5 oz, and 19 ¾ inches long. Hazel peacefully passed away in mother's arms on August 7, 2024, due to complications of labor and delivery.

No words can describe losing a child, Hazel was perfect and will always be perfect. She will only know love in its purest form and never feel hate. The short time she was here, she was surrounded with so much love.

Hazel is preceded in death by her Great Grandma Carol Lervick, Great Grandpa David Bertelsen, Great Aunt Cheryl Hilleren, and Sherry Lervick.

Hazel is survived by her loving parents Chase Bertelsen and Madison Lervick. Grandparents: Dan and Brenda Lervick, Jeff and Tina Bertelsen; Great Grandparents: Jerome Lervick, Konny and Judy Rhone, Karen Bertelsen, and David and Marlene Bacon. Aunts and Uncles: Jessica (Tyson) Burkle, Adam Lervick, Travis (Jonna) Bertelsen, and Shantel Bertelsen. Cousins: Bennett and Adrian, Symun, Fredrik, Rhett, Ryker, Renleigh, and numerous other family members. Also survived by her beloved pups Beau and Macaroni.

Madison, Chase, and family would like to say a special thank you to all the doctors, midwives, and nurses that took care of Hazel and Madison during the time spent at St. Vincent's Labor and Delivery and the NICU. The care provided was above and beyond anything we could have imagined, and we will forever be grateful for everyone that cared for us during our stay.

Hazel will always be remembered and loved eternally.
