Craig Swenson

Craig, a devoted father, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2024. His legacy of kindness, love, and generosity will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

Born in 1944, Craig was a beacon of compassion and selflessness. His unwavering support and encouragement uplifted everyone he encountered. Whether it was a warm smile, a helping hand, or a heartfelt conversation, Craig made a lasting impact.

As a father, Craig's love knew no bounds. He cherished his family above all else. His children—Heather, Megan, and Todd—remember him as their guiding light, always ready with wise advice and a listening ear. His grandchildren, too, adored their “Papa Craig,” finding comfort in his gentle presence.

A man of simple pleasures, Craig enjoyed golfing, boating, and international travel. Friends sought his counsel, knowing that Craig's words carried both fact and insight.

In his professional life, Craig was President of First Citizen Bank in Columbia Falls and Vice President of Western Security Bank formerly known as First Citizens Bank in Billings, MT. He devoted 43 years to his career and made most of his deals with a good old-fashioned handshake.

As we bid farewell to Craig, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life marked by compassion, love, and generosity. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, and we honor his memory by continuing his acts of kindness.

Craig Swenson is survived by his children, Heather (Mark) Keyser, Megan (Troy) Stowe, his grandchildren, Tyson and Lauren Keyser, Brayden Stowe (Haley Smith) and Nolan and Kyra Swenson.

Craig was preceded in death by his son – Todd Swenson, and his granddaughter – Mikayla Stowe.

Rest in peace, dear Craig. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.

Graveside Service will be held at Sunset Memorial Garden on September 6th at 10am 2024.
