David Blanco

David Blanco passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024 with his two children, Jade Blanco and Teal Blanco, their mother Kara Jones, and his best friends by his side. David's legacy of inspiration, kindness and talent will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

David was a man of exceptional creativity and vision. He had a unique eye for design and a deeply artistic way in which he viewed the world. He approached every aspect of his life with passion and creativity, and took every opportunity to share this with everyone he met. This talent was most evident in his career as a hairstylist, where he left an undeniable mark on the hair industry in Billings and around the globe.

In 1975, David and Kara opened their first salon, C-Ring, which innovated the local salon community. The salon wasn't just a place for haircuts; it was a space where art and style converged, setting trends and redefining beauty standards in the area. In 1982, the name was changed to BLANCO BLANCO Hair Design, with the opening of the salon on Virginia Lane, as well as two additional locations, further solidifying their influence on the local beauty scene. 1987 marked the opening of BLANCO BLANCO Cosmetology School, which continued to shape and inspire the next generation of hairstylists.

While David was growing his chain of salons in Billings, his talents took him around the world. He traveled and worked as an international platform artist, performing avant-garde demonstrations at hair shows around the world. During the 1970s, David's expertise earned him the title of Creative Director for Zotos International, a company at the cutting edge of global hair design.

David's creativity didn't stop at styling; he was also an inventor. He created and patented innovative tools such as the Hair Vac and the Spyder, which revolutionized professional styling tools and further cemented his legacy in the industry.

David will be remembered not just for his talents, but for the love and warmth he brought to those around him. His presence in the lives of his family, friends, and every person he met was a true gift. His memory will continue to inspire and comfort those who loved him.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Camelot Ranch from 12:00 to 3:00 pm with services taking place at 1 pm.
