Obituary
Christopher (Chris) R. Barham, unexpectedly passed away on August 31, 2024. He passed peacefully in his recliner at home with his faithful companions, his dogs Tater Tot and Winifred, by his side.
Chris was born October 12, 1960, in Bozeman, Montana. Chris grew up in the Bozeman area, developing his outgoing pleasant personality. He grew to love the outdoors; shooting gophers, hunting, and fishing.
After high school, he moved to Billings to attend Eastern Montana College. Soon, however, he found his way into the specialty gas business, where he worked for 40+ years. He worked for H&R Oxygen, AirLiquide and finally with Norco Industrial. Over the years he formed great bonds with his customers which made him incredibly valuable to the industry.
On March 30, 1985, Chris married Deanna Hoselton, the love of his life, in Bonner, MT. Chris would always tell Deanna that she was his bridge over troubled waters. They were married 39 years at the time of his passing. On February 24, 1989, Chris and Deanna welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Brittney Marie. On March 8, 1996, another beautiful baby girl joined the family, Cristin Cathi. This completed their family and family was the most important thing to Chris. Brittney now lives in Billings and Cristin lives with her husband, Steven, in Longview, WA. His greatest joy was his children and wife. He strived to make sure they were happy and secure, and to the joy of his family, he succeeded. He loved spending time and going on adventures with his family but also had a passion for maintaining a well-manicured lawn!
Chris loved hunting; bagging numerous trophy animals of which many are displayed in his home. Over the years Chris discovered his love for golf. He became an avid golfer, developing outstanding skills that were envied by many. He was always an appreciated companion due to his pleasant, witty personality. He was always telling entertaining stories of golf, hunting, and life in general. Because of his daring persona, he had many stories to tell.
His love for football and his Super Bowl-winning Steelers kept his family entertained every year with his great exuberance. He also shared a love of the Kansa City Chiefs with his daughter.
Chris lit up the room with his big personality and fun demeanor. He touched so many lives and was there to rescue anyone in need. Words cannot describe how missed he will be by his family and many lifelong friends. Chris always walked in when the rest of the world walked out. His unconditional love was boundless.

Chris is survived by his loving wife; Deanna, his love and best friend; daughter Brittney; daughter Cristin (Steven Boyes); sister Leona (Russell Fowler); sister Vinnette (Don Frank) brother-in-law Dave Rennie, brother/sister-in-laws Joe and Cathy Claxton, brother/sister-in-laws Dan and Becky Hoselton. His beloved little brothers Shane (Brenda) and Shawn (Mary) Fowler and his lifetime Rocks, Russell and Leona Fowler. He leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces, who he loved dearly. Everybody he knew was his best friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Anne Barham, sister Debbie Rennie, and sister Vonnie Wick.
Dad, Mom and us girls are heartbroken. We will make you proud and not forget who we are. We will always remember your warm hugs and twinkling smiles. No one can replace you in our hearts. You were our guiding light through our lives. Always our strength when we were weak. The fact that you are no longer here fills our hearts with pain. We wish we had just one last chance to talk with you again. Our closeness will never cease. Our love eternally, Deanna, Brittney, and Cristin.
The Memorial will be held at the Clubhouse at Lake Hills Golf Course on Monday, September 9th at 2:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in Wilsall, MT at a later date.
