Jonece Holds the Enemy

Jonece Dorinda Holds The Enemy, 25 of Billings, MT has started her journey to the happy hunting grounds the morning of September 3rd at Billings Clinic. She was surrounded in love and comfort from all her family that she held dearly to her heart. She was born on October 9th, 1998, at Big Horn County Memorial in Hardin, MT to her parents John HoldsTheEnemy III and Jovanna Garcia. She was enrolled Native American to the Crow Tribe of Indians and her Indian Name was IISHUSSHE BAAXPEE' “Medicine Plume” given to her by paternal grandfather John Holds Jr. She was part of the Whistling Water clan and child of Greasy Mouth clan. Jonece is a part of direct descendancy to Chief Pretty Eagle and Scout Curly of the Crow Tribe.

The proverb that goes “it takes a village to raise a child” is better suited for Jonece for she had more than one set of parents that helped in raising her being paternal grandparents John & Laurena Holds The Enemy Jr, maternal grandparents Robert & Treena Lafountain, paternal aunt Jonalea(Chester) Nomee Jr, maternal aunt Tasha(Tony) Chevalier, and maternal grandmother Nancy Garcia. Being raised in such a manner she had multiple siblings that she had taken as her own for she was born with only one sister Jontelle HoldsTheEnemy.

For having love in abundance, she took her cousins and friends as her siblings. Jonece's early years were spent with Robert & Treena Lafountain having attended her grade school years in Billings, MT and then when she moved to Crow Agency to be better acquainted with her father's side of the family. She was with John & Laurena Holds The Enemy Jr. Having continued her middle school and High School education at Hardin High School. Graduating from Hardin High School the class of 2017.

Being the spontaneous and loving person that we knew Jonece to be she had a daughter with Osbourne Reed. That she loved with all her heart and soul she name her beautiful daughter Zuri Jo Reed. We will always cherish the memories that Jonece embedded in our hearts as we lay her to rest.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at Dahl Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11:00am at Dahl Funeral Chapel.
