Marilyn and I were good friends. I was so very saddened when I learned of her disease. Bruce You were an amazing husband to her. Thank you for taking such good care of her. I know the last few years were very hard for the two of you.
We attended holy Rosary church, BSF, and aerobic classes together. Her girls and my boys went to parochial school together, and we were involved in many school and church events with each other. A couple of memories stand out in particular.
One weekend our family took our ATV out to Bruce and Marilyn’s. It was snowing and there was an abundant amount of snow on the roads so we took the kids on inner tubes and sleds around the streets pulling them with the ATV. It was a beautiful family day. Marilyn did not favor the cold, but she was always a good sport for family fun.
Another memory comes to mind of a dinner we had with Bruce and Marilyn at our house. She was having a hard time keeping peas on her fork. She held up the fork and there was actually only one time sticking up and the other ones were all kind of folded over or rolled down. She held the fork up to me and said Ellie is this “ diet fork” your way of telling me I need to lose weight?! We had a good laugh over that one. She was sweet and she was gentle. She was smart and she loved her family. Our prayers and hearts are with you, Bruce And the girls as you celebrate her life. She will not be forgotten
In His love,
Pat and Ellie Connelly
