Matt Kuppinger

Matthew Kuppinger, a business owner and life-long resident of Billings, MT, died unexpectedly on September 24th, 2024 at the age of 65 from natural causes, in his home.

Matt is survived by his son Nick and his wife, Jessica Kuppinger; his sister Cris and her husband, Phil Norwood (and family); and his brother Jon and his wife, Kelly Kuppinger (and family). He is predeceased by his parents, Erich and Jacquelyn.

Matt was born in Billings, MT on July 23, 1959, to Erich and Jacquelyn Kuppinger. He graduated from Billings West High-school in 1977, and started to explore and hone his skills to figure out where life would take him. He then proceeded to become the owner and operator of Billings Pool and Spa, which became his livelihood for over the past 30 years. During his time as a local business owner, he met and made many lifelong friends who greatly touched his life. And on April 4th, 1994, he welcomed his son, Nick, who was the most important part of his life.

Matt enjoyed cooking/smoking meat, shooting his guns, riding ATV's in the backcountry, and watching his beloved Seattle Seahawks dominate! In his downtime, Matt liked to watch his YouTube prank videos, NASCAR, and the Discovery Channel – and if he was listening to his rock-and-roll music, so was the whole neighborhood! Engines and old cars always held a special place in his heart, and you could find him and his son at many car shows and dirt track races over the years. Matt held himself to a high standard which made him a strong person and even stronger willed. Matt will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5th, at the Faith Church Chapel on Broadwater and Shiloh (enter from the Broadwater side).
