Aleta Medicinehorse

Aleta Faye Medicine Horse (baby) age 62, entered those pearly gates to heaven surrounded by loving family on October 3, 2024, at 7:30 pm. Waiting for her with open arms, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ along with her parents, siblings, and loved ones who have all passed on before her.

She was a true woman of faith, strong prayer warrior, momma bear, and grandma/great grandma bear.

She was All Conference, first team and MVP 1978-1979 and 1979-1980 for Plenty Coup High School Basketball Team. She was very proud to be a basketball player and loved that her grandkids played in honor of her. She loved to cook for all her family and opened her home to all who needed a home cooked meal, a warm place, and to share the word of God with them. She never judged anyone no matter their circumstances. She loved to cruise around and listen to her gospel songs and her reggae music. She loved and cherished her grandchildren whom she raised.

She battled breast cancer over 10 years, but cancer never won, only God on in the end. She fought a good fight, never letting cancer beat her. Our mother was our rock, our payer warrior, our go to person when we needed anything. We will miss her tremendously.

Preceding mom in death, her beloved father Alex Medicine Horse Jr, loving mother Margaret Big Head Rides Horse. Aunts - Leona, Marie, Elsie Rides Horse, Elizabeth Smart Enemy, Medicine Horse Aunties, Flora Not Afraid. Niece Alexis Braided Hair. Nephews Slim and Dani Buffalo.

Uncles – Medicine horse uncles, Lewis, Henry Rides Horse, Alvin Bird Hat.

Sisters – Mercilene Buffalo, Ethel Bird Hat, Susan Rides Horse, Kathlene Daws, Marilyn Black Eagle, all her beloved sisters whom she loved dearly.

Brothers – Edward Buffalo, Virgil Buffalo Sr., Thomas Medicine Horse, Sonny Black Eagle, Larson Black Eagle, Lagrant Medicine Horse, all her beloved Brothers who she loved dearly.

All her nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly who preceded her in death.

Daughter Christina (Rick) Tyrell, Talyssia, Kaya and Yalinna Aleta. Daughter Edwina (Quintin) John, Reuben, Azriah Aurthur, Cub. Daughter Samanta – Tristan, Trista Mercelene, Joey Alvino, Emalio. Daughter Nora – Rajah, Natasha, Nariah, baby Faye, Lathan.

Son – Edwin (Jrman) – Isabella, Kimberly, Sonna, Josiah, Nicole, Madison, Myron. Son Isiah Tsosie, Mariah. Son Israel Tsosie.

Our mother had a big, beautiful family whom she loves so dearly and prayed for daily. She loved every one of her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles (everyone) so much.

We love you Momma with all our hearts and our souls forever.

We apologize if we missed anyone, please forgive us in our time of grief. Our momma had lots of friends. She sure loves all her street friends.

A special thank you to the Cancer Center, St. Vincents, and CLDI for all you have done for our mother.

Viewing will be held Monday October 7, 2024, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Tuesday October 8, 2024, from 4-8 pm with a Rosary service at 6 pm Tuesday. Funeral service will be Wednesday August 9, 2024, at 10:30 am. All services will be held at Dahl Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be at the Pryor Cemetery on Wednesday October 9th.
