Obituary
George John Pappas Sr., 94, of Billings, Montana, passed away on October 11, 2024. He was born on October 29, 1929, in Billings to John and Sophia Pappas and grew up in Billings, and lived in Sheridan, and Cody, Wyoming, California, and Germany.
George graduated from Billings Senior High School and served in the Army and Air Force Reserve. He enjoyed fishing, reading, music, and computers, and had a special affection for children and pets. He cherished his church community.
George is survived by his daughters, Demitria "Tula" (Dennis) Elliott and Joan Pappas Star, both of Star Valley, Arizona; sons Ted (Dianna) Pappas of Somerville, Tennessee, Nick Pappas of Billings, and Nate Williams (Kim Machado) of Plumas Lake, California; his brother Tony Pappas; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen V. Pappas; his parents; sister Elaine (Carl) Lechner; brother Peter (Kathy) Pappas; sons George Pappas Jr. and Peter Pappa; and grandson James McCartney.
His kindness and love will be missed by all who knew him.
