Uncle Kirk's laugh was uniquely his - giddy, heart-warming, and genuine. I will greatly miss having a good laugh with him. Some of the best moments with Kirk were spent sharing music and having family guitar jam sessions in the basement. His humble passion for the simple things in life, his love of family, and his welcome embrace will be missed and truly cherished.

My brother Kirk brought me closer to music because of his love for it. We climbed mountains together in Colorado. That is where he’ll always be for me. High up and smiling so big it put the view to shame. His sweetness is what I hold the closest to my heart. He was my little brother, but to me his strength of character, protective love, and family devotion, has always found me looking up to him as if older than myself. It is his red cheeks I see, and again, his bright smile while on snow slopes in Germany where we would sled as children. As father to his beautiful daughter, Selina, one heard music in his voice all over again when speaking of her. So proud of her. And so shall ever be. Kirk’s sister Jan

I will always remember the shared joy of climbing mountains in Colorado with Kirk, and how much we enjoyed watching old looney tunes on TV. Always in my heart

Sending my love to you all! I just stumbled on the obituary. I didn’t know he passed. He was a great step dad to me and your family was always welcoming. I hope you all are well. ❤️
