Obituary

Wesley Alan Martin (61) peacefully made his journey to heaven on February 1, 2025 and is now resting in the Kingdom of God. He is survived by his children Madison Collins (James), Aaron Martin (Jessica), and granddaughter Scarlett. He is also survived by his mother Kaye Suhr and siblings Jeff Martin (Shelley), Brad Martin, Kelly Martin, Natalie McDonald (Leo), and his beloved German Shepherd Dax.


Wesley dedicated his life to serving and caring for others. During his earliest stages of childhood, he was naturally protective of all his younger siblings and that eventually led him to his early career endeavors as an EMT with a local Billings ambulance company. He proudly carried out his duties in this role and dedicated his life to providing life-saving care. Additionally, Wes spent 20 years in the gaming and amusement industry and rounded out his professional life with a decade in property preservation.


He was a fierce protector and provider for his family. He had an overwhelming love and pride for his children. He also had an obsessive love for animals, especially dogs. Whether animal or person, his gentle approach to life earned the steadfast trust of all around him.


Wes was the friend that would give you the shirt off of his back. His servitude toward others was only matched by his love for gardening and canning the sizable number of vegetables, herbs, and fruits that he cultivated in his garden each year.


Wes will always be remembered for his kind heart and his quick response to lend a hand. He was never comfortable in the spotlight but preferred to be the silent, behind-the-scenes warrior for his community, friends, and family. He will be deeply missed by all. Rest in peace, Wesley. We love you forever.


In Lieu of an immediate service, the family appreciates any donations to assist Wes' children with memorial costs and to provide assistance for the care of Wes' dog, Dax, who was his loyal companion and a beloved member of his family.

Wes was such a good friend it’s hard to believe that he’s gone. It was Wes who called me on 911, “He said turn on the TV,” We traveled to many gaming conventions, mostly in Vegas. Wes always made a point to get Madison a new stuffed animal at the convention. I will miss my friend.

Wes was always a large figure in my youth (with Natalie); he was the nicest of all the brothers (!), but not around as much. I remember he was the responding EMT when I was in a minor car accident on Grand Avenue (1988?), and I was so grateful to see a friendly face. I know how close the siblings are, and am so sorry for your loss. Much love to all. Heather Moss

I played on a men's softball team with Wes for a few years many years ago and got to know him. We lost touch after that but I remember him as such a great guy and fun to be around.
