Obituary
Isaac Charles Delaney was born February 25, 1998, in Billings MT, son of Robert (Bob) and Wanda (Struthers) Delaney. The scriptural meaning of Isaac's name is “One who laughs or rejoices, JOY”, and he was all that and more to us, his family.
He graduated from Laurel High School in 2016 and was employed shortly after graduation at Electrical Consultants Inc. in drafting and design work.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Charles Jerome Delaney, Step-grandfather Ray Delaney, Great Grandparents Elmer and Ruth Slattery, and Gordon and Emily (Paige) Struthers, Brother-in-law Ron Gordy, Cousin Sloan Lavene, Great Uncles John and Mike Slattery, and Great Aunts Linda (Slattery) and Virginia Struthers.
He is survived by his parents, Sisters Jessica Gordy (Branden) and Rachel Ann Delaney, Grandmother Patty Delaney, Aunt Tara Delaney-Skillo and husband Mike, Uncle George (Tanya) Moberly. Great Aunts Beth Krkosa, Carey (Jerry) Ziler, Peggy (Jim) Glenn, and Laurel Slattery, Aunts Pat Alveson and Diane Shoop, and Uncles Bill and Gene Struthers. Cousins Madeline (Kreg) Lapage and Peter Moberly; Bill, Gene and Pat's children (Struthers) Billie and Shane, Gene Allen and Teresa, Debbie, Jerry, Terry and Darla; and many other cousins too numerous to mention!
Isaac's generous and caring heart was evident in his willingness to help others. Whether by remodeling homes, assisting his grandmother, or pet sitting for friends and family. His own pets, Lucy the cat and Sneaky Snake the python, will miss him dearly. Isaac enjoyed hiking, fishing, 4-wheeling, golfing, traveling, working with his hands, and gaming in his decked-out PC room, but nothing brought him greater joy than cooking for his loved ones. He was famous for his curry, pancakes, and his specialty ribs. With his inquisitive mind, he was always researching new facts to share in conversation. His kind, but weird sense of humor, little crooked smile, and infectious laugh will be remembered with love. Isaac's memory will be forever cherished.
Memorial plants/flowers may be sent to Dahl Funeral Chapel the morning of the service. In Lieu of a gift, consider a donation of your choice in remembrance of Isaac. His charitable interests are for law enforcement, animal shelters and feeding the hungry.
Services will be held Monday, March 3rd at 11 am at Dahl Funeral Chapel located at 10 Yellowstone Avenue, Billings, MT 59101.
