Robert Carlson

Robert Jay Carlson was born to John and Clara Carlson on June 30, 1928 in Washburn, Wisconsin. His Father died when Bob was 2 years old and he was raised by his Mother on the family farm. After graduating from high school, Bob spent two years in the Army, short stints in the Air Force and the Merchant Marines. Bob was twice married and divorced. Bob was a professional truck driver, driving more than 3 million accident free miles for Consolidated Freightlines. After his retirement from CF he drove part-time for RBC Grain until his eyesight forced his retirement. Bob loved to visit and share stories of his trucking years. When his eyesight was good he loved to read and play cribbage. Bob enjoyed playing the keno machines and talk politics although he was often wrong (there Bob, I finally got the last word!). The 30 plus years at Tiny's leaves a legacy of good times, hours and hours of stories and rich friendships. To the staff at St. Vs ICU, 610 and 317, thank you for your compassion as you cared for Bob after his fall. Thanks also to friend Rick G for caring for Bob.
