Obituary
Charlotte Stoddard Louk was born to Archie and Vera Stoddard on March 18, 1938, and died on March 21, 2025, just three days passed her 87th birthday. She enjoyed an idyllic childhood on Avenue B until her graduation from Billings Senior High School, Class of 1957.
Through her soon to be sister-in-law, Harriet Frank, she met the love of her life, John Louk. They married in June 1957 and raised three children together: Don Louk, Nancy Louk Wilson, and Jeff Louk. They enjoyed 59 years together, until John's passing in 2015. She missed him until her very last day.
After her kids were all off to school, Charlotte joined the staff at McKinley Elementary School. She worked as a lunch lady and a playground aide for 25 years! She also worked as a price checker for Associated Foods, retiring after more than thirty years.
Charlotte was a collector of many things: thimbles and pin cushions, snowmen of all kinds, old watering cans, and far too many other items to list. But by far, her favorites were her vintage and antique dolls, especially the Kewpies. There was always room for one (or two, or three) more. She was a member of two local doll clubs and met many of her dearest friends there.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents Archie and Vera Stoddard, her sisters Jean Phyliss Rollwitz and Doris McMillan, and brother Ronald Stoddard, and her loving husband John.
Charlotte is survived by her children Don and Julie Louk, Nancy Louk Wilson, and Jeff and Jessica Louk. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brad Wilson, Laura Wilson, Ryan and Kathryn Wilson, and Olive, Lars, Tor, and Florence Louk. She also leaves one great grandson, Cameron Wilson.
Charlotte's family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Saint John's Langemo Cottage and Saint John's Hospice Care. Every day you treated Charlotte with the utmost kindness and dignity. You are all truly doing God's work, bless you all.
Services will be held at Dahl Funeral Chapel on Saturday March 29, 2025, at 10 am, with a burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
