In Loving Memory of Morgan

Morgan, a beloved husband, dad, grandad, computer guru, and remarkable human being, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His devotion to his family was unwavering. He showed up for his loved ones in countless ways, whether it was taking care of everyone's laundry, offering homework help, shuttling to endless swim meets, or patiently providing driving lessons with a clutch. His presence brought comfort, support, and a sense of security to those fortunate enough to have him in their lives.

A true family man, Morgan's eyes would light up whenever he was around his five grandkids. He cherished every moment with them and found joy in their presence. Retirement became a time for him to embark on adventures with his beloved Donna, globe-hopping and creating cherished memories together. Morgan's annual Christmas letter became a much-anticipated tradition among friends, who eagerly awaited his heartfelt and humorous updates.

Born in LA, Morgan initially made a splash as a Stanford swimmer. He was a member of the 1967 NCAA championship 400 yard men's freestyle relay team. Pursuing his MBA at the University of Arizona, he immersed himself in the world of technology. His knack for all things computer-related earned him the title of an early tech nerd. At Hart Albin and Pierce Flooring in Billings, Montana, he became known for his goofy ties and his ability to inject comic relief into the workplace. Morgan's commitment to simplicity was evident in his culinary preferences, as he maintained a steadfast devotion to plain peanut butter sandwiches and unbelievably spicy enchiladas.

Beyond his family and professional life, Morgan was an active volunteer with the Beartooth Ski Patrol, demonstrating his selflessness and willingness to help others. He possessed a unique quirk that set him apart from the rest: he was the only person on the planet who didn't reuse passwords and changed them frequently, a testament to his unwavering commitment to cybersecurity.

Morgan's warped sense of humor was an integral part of his character, bringing laughter and joy to those around him. It was a true blessing to have crossed paths with him, and his legacy will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.

Morgan is survived by his bride of close to 51 years, Donna; his daughter Jennifer (Rudy) Potter and grandchildren Harrison and Adaline; his daughter Stephanie (Allen) Bandrowsky and grandchildren Morgan, Jordan, and Ethan. He is also survived by his sisters Ginny Hunter of Memphis, Tennessee and Ann (John) Scoggins of Glendale, California and nieces and nephews.

As we bid farewell to Morgan, let us remember that while tears may heal and memories can bring comfort, the love he shared will live on forever. May his spirit guide and inspire us to cherish our loved ones, embrace life's adventures, and find humor even in the most unexpected places. Morgan lived long and prospered in his own unique way, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday July 19, 2023 at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Billings, Montana with a reception to follow.
