Charles Burchell I

Dad, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, and Friend. How does a mother write an obituary for her child? She does it through tears and unbearable pain.

It is with great sadness to say Chuck died of an accidental overdose of FENTANYL on March 18th, 2023. Our family is having to deal with the haunting question of how this terrible thing could have happened to our loved one. Chuck left behind three beautiful young children. Daniel, Eli, and Gracie Burchell. They will mourn the loss of their Dad for the rest of their lives. He also left behind his mother and father Glynis and Danny Burchell. His brother Coley and sister-in-law Rebecca. Three nieces Emma, Kayla, and Hadley.

Chuck was a successful small businessman in Billings and lived the majority of his life in Billings. Chuck was active in umpiring, coaching, and playing sports his entire life. He was an unwavering fan of the Seattle Seahawks and he loved fishing at Canyon Ferry Lake since he was a small child fishing there with his grandparents. Chuck loved hamburgers, spinach dip and bread, cabbage bread, and clam dip. Funny, the things we remember about people.

Chuck, we will miss you every day of our lives. We will hold you in our hearts forever. We wish we could hug you one more time and tell you we love you! I promise to watch over your children and protect them and hug and kiss them for you. You were a wonderful man and a loving dad. We will keep your memory alive.
