Dear Old Horn Family - Sarge was special to many of us in the NRCS. Many of us worked with him conducting workshops on how to work effectively with tribal governments and understanding the culture. Please know that his work will make a difference for seven generations to come. He was a blessing in my journey. You are in prayer for peace and remembering the good times. Sarge was the reason I converted to full time permanent with USDA natural resource conservation services. He was first person I met when I attended student trainee camp. We went on to teach many courses of working effectively with American Indian across country from New York, Idaho, Utah, South Dakota, Mississippi. Of course with his giving heart we all learn and with his humor we always laugh and had a good time. His given nature lives on in all of us who learned from him. Sarge what part of the hot dog did you get? Haha I am so blessed to have know him.

Sarge kindly taught me some Crow words during a bus trip while we were working for SCS. He had a great sense of humor.
