Marie Lincoln

Marie Jean Lincoln, “One that has everything,” given to her by the late Robert Pickett, was a member of the Tie's The Bundle and a child of the Bad War Deeds clan. She was born on March 25, 1942, in Crow Agency to Emily White Clay Lincoln and Francis Thunder Iron Lincoln. She was raised by her aunt, Rosie Lincoln, growing up with Hannah Pretty On Top, and Willis Medicine Horse, Jr. She peacefully passed away and joined her Lord and Savior on Oct 7th, 2020 in Sheridan, Wyoming. “Baby Jean,” the name she was known by, was the Matriarch of the White Clay-Lincoln family. She was truly the rock of the family and will be dearly missed. Born and raised in Crow Agency, she began her education at the Crow Agency Public School up to 7th grade, before taking on the duty of raising her younger siblings. She received her GED at Little Big Horn College. In 2019, she proudly obtained her Associates of Arts in Early Childhood Education at Little Big Horn College. Baby Jean had a passion for children to receive a good education, especially working with those who needed extra help with reading and any other struggles they had. She was compassionate, strong willed, talented, loving, bold. She was very overprotective of her family and was not afraid to speak her mind. She also was really close to her grandkids Jocilynn and Blake. She began her work at the US automatics Carpet Mills Co., switchboard operator at Crow Tribe. She was a teacher at Kingsman School. Crow Head Start Center Supervisor, Crow School Daycare, and Foster Parenting. Retired recently at Crow Head Start Center as a Supervisor. Her favorite hobbies and past time included playing softball, which she made a remarkable unassisted triple play. She was well known for her yeast and fry bread, which was requested by many, beading for her family while listening to Crow Hymns with her great grandson Blake. She recently finished a big beading project which she was very proud of. She loved to watch baseball & football, always cheering on the underdogs. She was survived by her daughters, Samantha (Larry) Black Eagle, Jolene (Cheyenne) RIdes Horse. Son, Matthew (Mallory) Bright Wings. Sisters, Lois (Jerome) White HIp, Rosemary & Mable Lincoln, Sherry Lou, Joyce, Mary Laforge, Francine (John) Small, and Debbie (Mike) Gust, Wyla Medicine Horse, VIctoria Hogan, Mary Agnes White Hip, Margret Flying, Cathrine Johnson, Dolly Stiffarm, Clarice (Spencer) Denny, Loretta Big Lake & Myra Left Hand, Susan Bird In Ground, Janet Costa, and Jennifer (Lawrence) Flat Lip, Victoria and Shirlene Bad Bear.
