Eric Ludwig

Eric Ludwig, 22 was tragically taken away from us on July 19, 2020 in Perris, California. Eric was born on December 16, 1997 in Billings, MT. Eric was my little runaway, he was a free-spirited young man who was loving, caring and respectful. Eric would say hi to everyone and was loved by a lot of people. As Eric was growing up, he had a love for fire trucks and watching the dryers go round-n-round at BYO laundromat. Eric also loved to sing and to write his own songs. Eric believed in God and we attended multiple churches. Thank you, Gary and Caroline Ostlund, for introducing Eric to Jesus when he was younger. He sang at All Nations and was on the camera crew at Fresh Life. Eric was a hard worker at all his jobs that he held. Just to mention a few: Albertsons, Synergy Health Care, Walmart and Wendy's. Eric worked for GSSI Security in Perris, California until that tragic day. He was and avid Met Bus rider where he made a lot of friends plus Eric and his sister April would go everywhere together by the Met Bus. He also helped with developing bus routes. Eric was also the only student to sit on the high school redistricting committee. He had another love for the news. He made friends with several of the news teams around here in Billings and in the state. Eric was preceded in death by his grandma Norma Ludwig, great grandmother's Leona Beehler Madler, Rose Ludwig, paternal grandmother Ella Jean Sun Goes Slow Cortright and several others. Eric is survived by his mother Tanya Ludwig, sister April Ludwig whom he loved with all his heart, uncles Steve Swan (Veronica) of Laurel, MT, Jeff (Kathy) Spackman of Colorado, several great aunts and great uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his father William Cortright, Aunt Ella Jean (sister) Lance, uncles Justin and Chuckee, two half-brothers, Kaleb Cortright and Brandon Lee Cortright; four half-sisters, Alicia Kaminsky-Agnew, Alahna Rowland, Rachel Getchy, and Taylor Maxwell; an adopted grandmother Pauline Booth and a very close adopted family, Edith Wilkerson and her family. Eric is also survived by all his friends and their family members. We will never forget you Eric and you are forever loved in our hearts. Fly high my precious son and you will be our guardian angel.
