Selena Not Afraid

Selena Shelley Faye Not Afraid went to her heavenly home on January 2020 to sit in the lap of her Lord and Savior, Jesus. Selena was born June 18, 2003 along with her twin sister Zoey to Jacquelena Big Hair and Leroy (Sheila) Not Afraid. She attended Hardin High School where she was a Junior, she also attended schools in Billings, St Labre and Pretty Eagle Catholic Academy. Selena was a sweet, silly, fun loving girl of whom all her many friends referred to her as their “best friend”. As twins, she and Zoe's best friends were another set of twins, Alexis and Katarena Morrison. Selena loved horses, beading, sewing, baking and being with family and friends. She shared the love of makeup with her big sister Tristen. Selena loved her horse Wart and she was practicing to be a future Lady's Indian Relay Race Riding champion for the River Road Relay Team. She was also active in basketball and volleyball. Recently, Selena returned to dancing jingle dress at powwows something her and Zoe did together. Selena was preceded in death by her grandparents: Preston and Sina Bell, Jacob C. and Rosemary Walks Big Hair and Cyril and Flora Not Afraid; brother Preston Bell, Brendan Fitzpatrick; sisters Zoey Not Afraid and Tristen Gray; uncles: David Bell and Franklin Red Wolf. Selena is survived by her mother Jacquelena; father Leroy; her adopted parents Johnathan and Misty Bright Wings; sisters Cree, Destiny and Ava; brothers R.J. and Toby. Niece Kaydence; nephew Jaibin; Maternal grandparents Angelena Bell, Jacob C. Big Hair, Jr., Francine Amyotte (Gary Reed) and Willis (Corrine) Sage. Aunts Cheryl Horn, Shelley Gray, Paulette Not Afraid, Misty Amyotte, Hydee Amyotte, Tina LaHaye, Makalia Guiterrez, Marcel Bradley, Jacinta Big Hair and Vestal Blacksmith. Uncles Thomas Big Hair, Shawn Gillette and Willie Not Afraid. Selena will also be missed by her many cousins and “best friends.” “When your life is falling apart, or you're at your lowest, Just Ride”. Viewings will be held on Friday January 24, 2020 and Saturday 25, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Billings, MT. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday January 26, 2020 at Hardin High School, Hardin, MT. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Hardin.
