Pattie Wilson Willems

Our mother was born in Nibbe, Montana to our wonderful grandparents Joseph Wilson and Della Winchester Wilson. She grew up with two sisters, Shirley Welch (Lloyd) and Betty McHenry Roberts (Toby). In her early years, she lived with her family in the Bull Mountains, north of Pompey's Pillar and then in Hysham where she attended schools. She attended Billings Business College after graduating from Hysham High School in 1950. She married our deeply treasured dad, William “Bill” Willems of Hysham December 27, 1951. They first lived outside of Hysham, and then in 1957 moved to Pease Bottom in the Myers area where they farmed and ranched for the remainder of their lives together. They worked together side by side and were very dedicated and successful. They loved what they did! They had four children: Kathleen “Kat”, William “Bill”, Marjorie and Patti Jo “PJ”. Our mother was living in Belgrade, MT at Elsie's Assisted Living for the past three years where she received the most loving care, developed close friendships and sisterhood. We thank the amazing staff for all that they did for our mother. Our mother was a loving daughter, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. She loved gardening, rodeos, bird watching, dancing, cooking and her special dog, Spot. She was a member of the Hysham Women's Club, Hysham Museum and Theatre, Hysham Lutheran Church and Ladies Night Out where she socialized with her many friends. Survivors include daughter, Kat Pawloski (Dick Zier) of Miles City; son, Bill (Laurie Arneson) Willems of Hysham; daughter, Marj (Mike) Dyce of Littleton, Colorado; and daughter Patti Jo (Dave) Thompson Hanley of Whitehall. She also is survived by grandchildren, Harley (Jillian) Pawlowski, Andrea (Cliff) Palmer, Heather Harding, Amy (Gary) Kimberlin, Shawn Willems, Nicholas (Kerry) Dyce, Julie (Zach) Jamison, Tricia (Ryan) Long, Chis (Nevada) Thompson, Kevin (Jen) Thompson, Rob Thompson (Juliane Bergmann), Jeena (Ray) Christopherson and Jill (Shep) Vail; thirty-five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Our mother was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, brothers-in-law and son-in-law, Bill Thompson. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m, Friday, November 10, 2017 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held at the Rancher Cemetery Pease Bottom in Myers at approximately 1:30 p.m.; late lunch at the Treasure County Community Center, 306 Rapelje, in Hysham, at 2:30 p.m. Memorials may be made in Pattie's name to Treasure County ‘89ers Museum/Yucca Theatre, P.O.
