Helen Johnson

Helen Camille (Ust) Johnson, 78, passed away on January 8, 2016. She was born on July 30, 1937 to Hazel (Ambroson) and Carl Ust in Portland, ND. She attended Edendale #2 and graduated from Portland High school in 1955. After attending business school in Minneapolis, MN and working various jobs, she met William Rae Johnson while working as a nurse's aide at Union Hospital in Portland, ND. They married on June 5, 1959 and were divorced in 1981. She is survived by her 3 children, Dorothy Johnson, James Johnson and Donna (Richard) Voeller, her 2 sisters, Shirley (Bert) Holman and Phyllis (Dennis) Enger, her sister-in-law Joy Ust McLain. She has 5 grandchildren, Andrew Lysher, Kate Lysher, Kathleen (Nat) Aspy, Carrie Hamilton and Chrystal Enger as well as 5 Great-grandchildren Malaki Lysher, Achilles Aspy, Nicholi, Shawn and Alyssia Groves who were the joy and loves of her life as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Roger and Erwin Ust, her brother-in-law Robert Johnson and her in-laws Edna and Palmer Johnson, one child and one grandchild. Her Memorial Service will be held at the American Lutheran Church in Billings, MT with time pending, May 16th, 2016, since winter weather prevents safe travel for her extended family. Her family requests donations to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation or the Kidney Foundation in lieu of flowers. Arrangements are in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel.
