John Lapp,

Our Father & Brother, John Lapp, Jr., went to be with the Lord on March, 5 2015. He passed away of natural causes, in the presence of his two children. John was born to John Lapp, Sr. & Lydia Ehrlick Lapp, on Jan. 30, 1938, in Fromberg, MT. He was the sixth born child, of eight children. In 1956, John graduated from Red Lodge, MT & enlisted in the Navy. He served four years, plus two years in the reserve. He married Delores Leikam in 1961, and in 1963, became a father of a son, Gregory John & in 1968 a daughter, Tammy Sue. Later, in 1996, they divorced. John worked for the BN railroad for almost 30 years. He loved to go camping, bowling, fishing, & especially dancing. He was a wonderful dancer; very light on his feet. Survivors are a son, Greg Lapp, a daughter, Tammy (Alan) Schreiner, granddaughters, Heather & Kaylei Schreiner, all of Laurel, and grandson, Jared Dewell of Missoula. He is also survived by the mother of his two children, Delores Leikam Lapp, sisters Betty (Herbert) Kindsfater, Gloria Bundy, & brother Harold (Vivian) Copple, of Laurel, sisters, Susan (Donald) Cahill of Tucson, AZ, and Ethel (Richard) Ernst of Bend, OR, a dear friend & dance partner, Jean Rongholt, & her daughter, Betty Norman. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Rosemary, Helen & Alice. Dad, brother John, & friend, may you dance in the Heaven's, until we meet again. We love you, & will miss you dearly! Memorial services will be held at Dahl Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with inurnment in the Veteran's wall in Yellowstone National Cemetery in Laurel, MT.
