Arthur Wall,

Arthur B. Wall, Sr. 69, went home to be with the Lord on October 10, 2014 due to natural causes. “Refused to Leave His Wounded Comrade” a name given to him by his late uncle Elmer Hill. He was a member of the Catholic and Pentecostal Church. He is a member of Whistling Water clan and a child of Big Lodge. Arthur was born on August 20, 1945 in Crow Agency, the eldest son of the late William and Alma (Small) Wall. He was raised in Pryor, MT and later made his home in Crow Agency, MT. Arthur lived out the rest of his life at Parkview Nursing Home. Arthur received his education at St. Charles Mission, MT and Flandreau, SD. He later joined the Marine Corps in 1969-70. He was honorably discharged. Arthur enjoyed attending rodeos, pow-wows, and playing bingo. He was an avid Plenty Coups Warriors basketball fan. Also spending time with his family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He always looked forward to the holidays. Arthur is a descendent of Goes to Mud Pretty, Goes Ahead Pretty(Man), Striped Snake Woman, Ground Cedar(Man), Comes Up Red, Whiteman, TurnsPlenty, Little Light, & Caplett, on his maternal side: his grandmother Small Bear, her daughter Alma is Arthur's mother. Paternal side, he is a descendant of Joe Hill, Lucy Hill-Dawes and Margaret Hill-Other Bull, Izabelle Hill-Medicine Horse, Cyrus and Elmer Hill. Other Paternal families are Reed, He Does It, Snell His parents, sons Arthur “Berry” Wall, Jr. and Lyndon “Indian” Wall. Brothers, Billy Wall, Tommy Wall, Cardy Goes Ahead, Byron Other Bull, Randy Red Star and David Turns Plenty. Sisters, Gloria (Goes Ahead) Cummins, Norma Wall, Wilma Wall and Rosemary Dawes. Aunts, Rose Turns Plenty and Josephine Whiteman proceeded Arthur in death. Survivors include his son, Howard Burlinson His brother Charles (Melanie) Wall, and his sisters, Josephine, Almira and Mary Wall. His nephews and nieces whom he took as his own children, Jeremy Keo, Antone Lopez, Alma Costa, Alice Wall and Allison Morning Gun. And his two grandchildren who he called his babies, Brenda (Robin) Costa-Stewart and Lyndon LaForge. Families include, Whiteman, Goes Ahead, DeCrane, Turns Plenty, Red Star, Medicine Horse, Other Bull, Big Hail, Hill, Bullinsight, Two Leggins, & Old Crane. Our family is large, please accept our apology in our time of grief. The family would like to give a special thanks to nurse Julie and the rest of the nursing staff at Parkview Nursing home and a very special thank you to Mann Pretty On Top for accompanying him to all his favorite events. Funeral Services is scheduled on Wednesday Oct. 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Mission in Pryor, MT.
